“Cool Blues” – Charlie Parker’s Story

The history of jazz and its establishment as a national music style of the USA throughout the 20th century has marked itself as a period both beautiful and dramatic. One of the prominent representatives of the jazz culture of the beginning of the 20th century is Charlie Parker, the jazz performer and innovator who influenced jazz tremendously. He died 56 years ago in March, and his death is still covered with mystery, scandal, and misunderstanding. The play “Cool Jazz”  is dedicated to uncovering the truth of Parker’s last days and death. Surely, it cannot be considered the ultimate truth, and as any fiction it contains some fantasy of the author, but still it is full of biographical details that take viewers half a century back, to the house where the outstanding figure of jazz was dying in delirium and pain.

The play depicts Xan, a baroness who was the supporter of jazz and who took case about Mr. Parker after his collapse in her house. After watching the play, I decided to write your essay  about the life and death of Charlie Parker , and use a essay writers uk for Pannonica Rothschild de Koenigswarter.  I liked the way Jay Ward played the main character – the path from fame to madness and death was a path of suffering for him, and his addiction to alcohol and drugs was a painful burden, a side effect of being famous and talented. The work is sad, but meaningful – I am sure everyone will like the story of a great man.
